2021-2022 Season Summary
The boys had a strong start to the season winning their first game of the season against LCVI. Two days later comes their game against LSS where defense was put on show only allowing 38 points in a tough loss. After a tough loss to Frontenac, Holy Cross shows they don't take losses like this easily, winning four straight games with a huge wins against ESS and MR. In what was possibly the chippiest game of the season, the PH classic showed a lot of heart from the boys battling after being down big, Matt Mignault especially showed what hard work can do to change a game, winning player of the game in the process. Regardless of this loss, HC showed what they can accomplish when giving 100%. For the last game of the regular season, Holy Cross plays Bayridge in a playoffs preview. This 61-53 loss showed the boys what they had to improve, and in their next game with a new game plan and improved energy, Holy Cross would flip the script and win 63-43, a 28 point difference from their first meeting. Going into the semi finals, Holy Cross was faced with a tough opponent in FSS. The score of this game is not a full story as HC actually won quarters 2 and 3. Being the last game that some of the boys would play in high school, the energy that HC brought was impressive, big runs for Frontenac was what cost them the game but in an underdog story Holy Cross proved they deserved to be there and made this game chippy, energetic, and very fun to watch, even with multiple players out due to sickness. Not enough could be said about the team this season, a wonderful group of guys whos main goal was to win. Improvement throughout the season was clear as losses quickly translated to wins and leads were dissipated. It's tough to see players not returning next season but coaches are optimistic for next years player and training for next season is already underway. The boys really made the school proud and showed what it means to be a Crusader.

2019-2020 Season Summary
The boys started this years season off strong with 5 consecutive wins in order against LCVI, MR, NDSS, LSS, and ESS. They had a strong finish against LCVI, and were faced with 2 close games afterwards, scoring 50-41 against MR, and 68-64 against NDSS. After their season starting 5-game winning streak, they were next faced with FSS, where they unfortunately were defeated 56-31. The boys regained their composure for their next opponent and picked up steam as they won their next 2 games back-to-back against BSS and then against RND during the Annual Memorial game. The emotionally-packed Memorial posed to be quite a show with both teams fighting for the lead, and the HC boys clearly proved their spirit and drive by taking the final lead at 50-47 with an outstanding team defensive effort, especially noted from our own Jack Stevens limiting Frontenac's Kinstler. Special note to fund-raising done at the Memorial, led by JT. The boys next faced SHS, where the nail-biting game unfortunately came out as SHS-67, HC-66, a hard fought game where the boys all showed character and grit despite the final outcome. The boys quickly bounced back from the previous game and regained their composure, showing once again their overall grit, defeating LSS in the quarter-final 43-39. Finally they were faced against FSS in the semi-final, where unfortunately they were unable to come out on top. The boys wrapped up the season with 14 points - 7 wins and 3 losses, as well as more than a few dunks from Mike Kelvin. Despite the ups and downs, the boys finished with a record-breaking 40 practices during season - more than any previous year in team history. This just goes to show the dedication and hard with that the boys put into this year's season. The coaches don't want to say goodbye to the returning players from this year, but are looking forward to next year as the team's tireless hard work and dedication this year will outline what it means to be a Crusader in Sr Boys Basketball.

2018-2019 Season Summary
The Boys season started off rocky after a late start due to the football season extending into OFSAA. They started off the season with a strong win against Ernestown. The team then played in the Queens Tournament next were they faced good competition for the rest of the season. After that win the team started rolling with wins over LCVI, MR, SHS, KCVI and NDSS. After a five game win streak, they unfortunately lost to defending KASSAA champs, FSS in overtime. The boys came back strong again with a win over Regi in the Annual Memorial game. With a strong season behind them, the boys faced off against FSS in quarterfinals. The game was close the whole way and constantly swapping the lead, the boys fought hard. However, FSS came away with the victory and went onto KASSAA against LSS Even though, the boys lost to FSS in the semi-finals for the second year in a row, they still tied for second place in KASSAA standings, with 9 wins and 2 losses for a total of 18 points, with much fewer technical fouls than last year. 2017-2018 Season Summary
The Boys season started off rocky after a late start due to the football season extending into EOSSA. They fought hard in our annual Holy Cross tournament but were short plays because of the school play Gods Spell. They started the KASSAA season off with a loss to KCVI followed by a win to Ernestown. The team then played in the Queens Tournament next were they faced good competition for the rest of the season. They then played Lasalle in a fundraiser game just before the Christmas break. The boys lost that game on a buzzer beater shot. As tough as the loss was the game raised $850 that players from both schools went out and bought Christmas gifts for kids and families spending their holidays in KGH. When the players came back from the holiday their first game was against Sydenham. The team got the victory in a hard fought battle in Sydenhams home gym. After that win the team started rolling with wins over Napanee, defending KASSAA champs Frontenac, Regi in the annual memorial game, LCVI, and Bayridge. With a five game win streak going the boys faced off against Sydenham in quarterfinals. The game was close the whole way and constantly swapping the lead, but the boys fought hard and brought the game into overtime where they got a win advancing them onto the semi finals. In the semis the team faced off against Lasalle where they fought hard all game and the score was within 2 points during the final 4 minutes. Lasalle came away with the victory and went on to win KASSAA against Frontenac. After the loss the boys were challenged by Regi for the top AAA KASSAA team and a chance to represent kingston at EOSSA and possibly OFSAA. The team came together and played great basketball and beat Regi again. After that the team had to play in EOSSA qualifiers against Perth high school and St. Joseph's high school. The boys came together and won both games allowing them to advance to OFSAA in Windsor. At OFSAA the team had tough competition playing against the second and fifth seeded teams. The boys came out of OFSAA with a 3 and 1 record. The coaches want to thank the players for their hard work all season and dedication.
