Season Summary
This season was very exciting for the girls hockey team. They dominated every game of the regular season. There was a great balance of both rookie and veteran players this year. "All of the girls showed determination both on and off the ice. We have a great defensive line, and the girls really push themselves to the limit when on the ice," says captain Laura Martindale, who has been on the team since grade 9. The girls defeated teams left, right and center. At the tournament in Napanee, the girls won the round robins, but lost to NDSS in the finals with a final score of 2-1. A big congratulations goes out to both the girls and Coach Michalski of the Varsity girls hockey team.

Season Summary
The team was very fortunate to have a great mix of new and old players this year. With the experience of the key returning players and the new talent of the first year players, the team was able to put out one of their strongest teams that HC had seen in years. They had a very successful season, going undefeated in their first seven games, until meeting cross-town rival the KCVI Blues and losing a very close game. This great team success that seemed unstoppable was not only due to the team play but it was also attributed to the strong leadership by captain Kelsi Ball and her assistants Katherine Van Vlack and Laura Martindale, who were able to help keep the girls focused every game. With the race for the KASSAA title coming to an end it looks like our girls will never quit until their thirst for gold is satisfied. The girls finished the season in third place.

Season Summary
A great balance between returning players and new faces made up the Holy Cross Girls hockey Team this year. When asked about their season, captain Kelsi Ball said "KCVI took the KASSAA title last year, so this year we have something to prove. A solid combination of strong veterans and skilled rookies have proven how talented the Holy Cross girls hockey team is this year." The team ended the season in second place, with a record of five wins recorded against Regi, Frontenac, Napanee, Sydenham and LaSalle. Their two losses: one against KCVI and the other against Bayridge. The team showed great potential in offence in scoring 21 goals while having 15 scored against. The team gave special thanks graduation player and assistant captain Jen Fleming for her amazing four-year contribution to the team, which once again shows how close these girls became in their efforts to take the top spot.
