Season Summary
The Sr. Boys football team was coming off of a big OFSAA victory last season, and was on a mission to have a repeat occurrence this year. The boys started the season off strong, swiftly running over opponents from Ernest-town, Bayridge, and last seasons rivals Lasalle. Friday night lights was next, the crusaders played a hard fought game against the Regi panthers in what ended in a low scoring tie, 10-10. After what was what the team hoped to be the 4-0 start they were aiming for, they played the Falcons of Frontenac. The game was an upset an the crusaders lost 45-1. Not the first time senior players on this team had seen adversities. They fought back and learned from previous mistakes and won their next game against Sydenham advancing them to the semi finals to play the Regi panthers. The Crusader faced another tough game ahead and they battle until the final buzzer to come out on top, beating Regi, 18-12. The Sr. boys team were faced with season rivals next in the city finals. The Falcons and Crusaders bash heads in what ended up being a defensive and offensive victory for the crusaders. Shutting down the falcons run and pass game. The Crusaders offense connected on key plays and moved the sticks to put the ball in the end zone and win a come back game. The crusaders became three time city champions and were off to the EOSSAA semi finals. Facing off against the Arnprior Rapids. The same team that shut them out from OFSSAA two years prior. On a snow covered field, in freezing temperatures the high powered run game of Arnpiror bent the Holy Cross defense, but never broke them. Holding them to only a field goal all game, the crusaders offence was able to put up seven points late and secure a win. Moving on to the EOSSAA finals the team faced a much weaker opponent from Cornwall and won easily. Finally the Crusaders were back at the OFSSAA championship game to face off against the Richview Saints. The Crusader started slow, going into the half behind on the score board. But the team fought back and ended on top for the second year in a row winning 20-18 in a nail biter of a game.

Season Highlights
This past season the Sr. Boys Football team had their most successful season in the history of the program. The season started out with a though loss to the Lasalle Secondary School losing 22-15. Coming off of the loss the team was not going to let this reflect the rest of their season. In their second came the team came out with a chip on their shoulder beating Ernestown Secondary School 42-7. The third game of the Season was Friday night-lights, which was played at Richardson Stadium where Regiopolis Notre Dame and Holy Cross battled it out under the lights. Holy Cross came away with the win beating Regi 35-30. KCVI was the Crusaders next opponent in a blowout game the Crusaders beat KCVI 41-8. The Crusaders were on a roll and they had OFSAA on their mind after coming up short the following season. In a close game the Crusaders beat Frontenac 14-8 taking one step closer to the KASSAA championship. In their final game of the regular season the Crusaders dominated Bayridge Secondary School 48-0. The Crusaders had one of the toughest games of the year in the KASSAA Semi-Finals against Sydenham coming out with another win 20-17 moving on to the KASSAA finals for the second year in a row. Holy Cross and Lasalle faced off once again and the Crusaders were not going to lose again. With the first game of the year fresh in their memory Holy Cross took the win 17-10 and taking home the KASSAA championship for the second year in a row. Moving onto the EOSSAA semi-final the Crusaders took on Almonte in a close game taking the game 13-10. The Crusaders move onto EOSSAA where they had come up short the following season with that in mind the Crusaders played hard and beat Gananoque 15-14 making history as this was the first EOSSAA final win for the Crusaders and the first time they have went to an OFSAA bowl. In Ottawa on November 26th history was made once again when the Crusaders took home their first OFSAA bowl championship beating Thomas A. Stewart 25-8 in a huge win, making the Crusaders OFSAA champions for the first time in their programs history.

Season Highlights
The Holy Cross Football team got off to a very strong start to their KASSAA season, proving their dominance against Bayridge winning 34-0 on our own field. After a buy week the team played in the annual Friday Night Lights. At halftime they were losing, but Adam Kinney made a season changing pick six. Key Players in the game; Jake Jefferies 4 sacks, 11 tackles, Matthew McDonald 7 catches 147 yards 1 Touchdown, Jarryd Herron scored his first career touchdown. Final Score: 27-23. The next week the team played Frontenac, it was a defensive battle and they ended up winning 15-0. The Football team continued the win streak in the next three games against Kingston Collegiate, Napanee and La Salle. The team finished 6-0 which was good enough to finish 1st place in KASSAA, having to play Regi in the semi-finals. In the semi finals Holy Cross got off to a hot start being up 21-0 at half. After a hard fought battle the boys ending up holding on winning 21-14, this lead the team to the city championship against the reining champs, the La Salle Black Knights. In the KASSAA finals it was a very strong start for the Crusaders, the score was 28-3 at halftime. In the dressing room at halftime it was repeated how La Salle were the Comeback Kings and how the Crusaders can never give up. The Cru held on and ended up winning the city championship 31-10 proving their dominance once again. This lead the team to the EOSSAA semi-finals where they played Ganonoque, home of the Trojans. The game was played in very sloppy conditions leaving both offenses unable to do anything. The game was a defensive battle and the Crusaders won 21-14. This meant that they were headed to the Eastern Ontario final, the first time the team has ever made it that far. They play the Arnprior Rapids the #44 best team in Canada. The game was a back and fourth battle and went down to the final drive. From the five yard line they had three opportunities to get the ball in the end zone and unfortunately did not succeed. The Crusaders lost in heart breaking fashion. It was a very successful season for the Crusaders, 5 players are going on to the next level. Four players to Queens; Jake Jefferies, Matthew McDonald, Tyson Fletcher and Laurenio Sousa. One player to McMaster, Quarterback Drew Freake. Great season Crusaders!

Season Highlights
The football team came to a strong start of this season winning their first three games against Ernestown, La Salle, and Regi. Holy Cross suffered their only loss of the regular season to Frontenac. This led to them being second place in the league and having to play a strong La Salle team in the semifinals. Despite the best efforts of the team they lost a close game. Highlights of the season include a defense who only allowed 20 points or more once, Michael Thompson's long TD run against Ernestown, finishing the season 5-1 with a +93-point differential, and talent surrounding both sides of the ball.

Season Highlights
The Senior Football team began their season with high hopes and great expectations but as the season unfolded, tunrovers and injuries prevented their return to the KASSAA finals and their championship goal. Despite the teams disappointing finish, there were many moments throughout the season to celebrate including Justus Dupere's many interceptions, Jonah Johnson's blocked field goal, Ryan Heer's uncanny knack for catching anything thrown his way, the emergency of sir David Wallace athlete extraordinaire, and the regular season victory over Frontenac.
