One of the most distinctive features of our Roman Catholic faith is our Church's rich tradition of social teaching. It is critical to the unique profile of Catholic education that this teaching be explicitly integrated not only into the curriculum but also into the overall life of our school communities.
Our students, staff, parents, trustees, and pastors have traditionally involved themselves in a wide range of social action activities. Whether it is a food or clothing drive, a class discussion about poverty in our world, or participation in a public demonstration, our Catholic schools demonstrate consistent leadership in these areas.

All Are Welcome In This Place
Various social justice initiatives will occur throughout the school year that will illustrate our commitment to "living our faith." Below are some highlights of the 2019-20 school year:
1. 2019 marked the 20th year that our school community has participated in the Terry Fox Run. Hillary from the Terry Fox Foundation visited our school October 2019 to present us with a special banner, and she shared our 20-year total funds raised, $13, 661! We are humbled and honoured, and we will continue to honour our hero and look forward to growing our total contribution in the future.
2. United Way Fundraising Activities: held during the week of October 28 - 31, 2019 yielded nearly $500 in contributions.
3. Our school teamed up with WE BE US to participate in the 20K Sock Day by collecting new socks for donation to local shelters in our community. Click this link for more info: www.webeuscommunity.com
