The LSC at RND is a vibrant hub centrally located at the crossroads of the main office, Student Services and the chapel. The centre provides a supportive and dynamic learning environment where students with complex needs (intellectual functioning, adaptive functioning and/or social/emotional needs) are individually encouraged towards greater independence and self-sufficiency. Students receive individualized programming designed in accordance to their IEP and is continually adapted to meet their evolving strengths and needs.  Emphasis is placed on functional literacy, functional numeracy and life skills through classroom activities as well as school and community integration. Students in the centre are supported by a SERT/Co-ordinator and a terrific team of educational assistants. The ultimate goal of the centre is to guide and support students to maximize their skills and prepare for productive and meaningful lives as contributing citizens in our community.   ​
